segmento da cultura potiguar<\/p>\n<p>Por Celso Am\u00e2ncio<\/p>\n<p>Uma noite dedicada a personalidades que contribuem para a cultura do Rio Grande do Norte. Assim foi a quarta-feira, 19 de dezembro, no Teatro de Cultura Popular (TCP), quando a Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 Augusto e o Conselho Estadual de Cultura concederam as medalhas De\u00edfilo Gurgel e Alberto Maranh\u00e3o a 12 homenageados.<\/p>\n<p>Depoimentos emocionados, o legado e a trajet\u00f3ria dos homenageados no segmento cultural, atraiu aten\u00e7\u00e3o da plateia e arrancou aplausos durante a festa de premia\u00e7\u00e3o, conduzida pelo presidente da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 Augusto, jornalista Amaury J\u00fanior e pela Secret\u00e1ria Chefe da Casa Civil do Governo do RN, Tatiana Mendes Cunha, que na ocasi\u00e3o representou o Governador Robinson Faria.<\/p>\n<p>Homenageado com a Medalha De\u00edfilo Gurgel, o sebista\/editor Abimael Silva, fundador da editora Sebo Vermelho, com mais de 500 livros lan\u00e7ados em quase 33 anos de exist\u00eancia foi um dos homenageados com a Medalha De\u00edfilo Gurgel. Emocionado, ele agradeceu a homenagem, falou um pouco de sua vida de sebista e destacou que ser\u00e1 muito grato por toda vida pela indica\u00e7\u00e3o para receber a medalha.<\/p>\n<p>A solenidade foi prestigiada ainda pelo presidente do Conselho Estadual de Cultura, o m\u00e9dico e escritor Iaperi Ara\u00fajo e pelo presidente do Instituto Hist\u00f3rico e Geogr\u00e1fico do Rio Grande, Ormuz Barbalho Simonetti. O IHGRN \u00e9 a mais antiga institui\u00e7\u00e3o cultural do Rio Grande do Norte.<\/p>\n<p>O jornalista Paulo Macedo foi homenageado na ocasi\u00e3o com uma Men\u00e7\u00e3o Honrosa. Outra condecora\u00e7\u00e3o igual foi entregue na noite anterior em Mossor\u00f3 ao governador Robinson Faria, durante a festa de inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o da reforma do Teatro Lauro Monte Filho-o mais importante templo da cultura mossoroense.<\/p>\n<p>As duas medalhas s\u00e3o consideradas as mais importantes comendas culturais do estado do Rio Grande do Norte, sendo um reconhecimento importante do legado de grandes exemplos para a cultura do Estado e do Brasil.
